This was the commercial that introduced the Apple Macintosh Computer to the world. … Apple Mac Macintosh 1984 computer commercial big brother

Best commercial ever.
Period.
So far from what I’ve seen in the past year; Apple’s turning into what they were fight against.
Okay…..what’s your point exactly? He ‘Wanted’ to. So I guess thats all that counts is someone that could have done something right?
I am pretty sure MS knows they have a monopoly in certain areas like the OS market share and the office suite, but I have never seen such ad from MS. My point is 1984 or 2009 is like 1984 in the sense that we still have hungry GIANTS. Only if Apple had not constituted a duopoly with MS, the ideology behind this video would have truly made sense.
29 years ago carter wanted to put these clean energy policies through,29 YEARS AGO,maybe the imperialist USA needs to go away like the roman empire.Just maybe.
Ok your the type of person who is better off with windows because you know what your doing
When I said technologically challenged I mean PEOPLE who only use computers for there stereotypical uses like games, myspace, pictures, video, etc
I wish it were though. I mean…we just don’t have the money to afford them. You cannot argue with natural power being as clean as it is. But not to mention…I even figured this out. To cover half of my roof with solar panels it would save about 1/5 of my electricity bill every money (1/5 cleaner air) but with the cost of the solar panels along with the savings…it would take about 20 years to recover the cost of just the solar panels themselves.
If they were a but more practical they may have stayed. Growing up my parents house ran on solar power. It was great for 2 showers, and don’t even think about doing some laundry with even warm water. Tabby there is reality of these technologies and then there is your perception of these realities. You would have 1/10 of what you have now had solar power been imposed at any level. Sorry until there are advances then solar power being viable is not an option.
Solar panels? k, I’m all for clean energy, believe me, I want to be able to breath clean and fresh air as much as the next guy, but do you know how much solar panels cost? Do you know how long it would take to recover that cost over time? It’s crazy since we DO NOT have money to do this. It’s not like the air is so dirty that we’re dying at early ages (actually we’re living longer each decade and everyone used to use coal). Like I said, clean energy = cool. When you cannot afford it = not cool
Exactly what message are you trying to convey?
His policies with the Republican majority destroyed it?
Black and White…There are many more?
There are many more?
For Gawd sakes please elaborate.
I greatly apologize if my standards do not lie within short term progress. I guess you could say I’m some kind of perfectionist that doesn’t believe that the government should inject some kind of stimulation juice into us for the temporary convenience of the present, only to hurt us really bad, worse than before the stimulus juice.
Dont know, but we may not have had to be a slave to the gas pump.Carter put solar panels on the white house and reagan took them down.Reagan came from the wealthy snobs like paris hilton.
…(cont…) were ridiculously low…does that mean that the stock market was low, thus the economy was in the slumps?…probably, but not as bad as the numbers show…like I said…it’s called inflation. Not to mention, this project that was just finished (for now anyways, says Obama) … Cash for Clunkers…the government was paying for all new cars…billions of dollars, so don’t you think that would have some kind of positive effect on some stocks in the short term…
His policies with the republican majority destroyed it.Are you unemployed?
Black and white
Middle class and wealthy
The word nuclear
There are many more.
There are many more.
Okay, yes he contributed to some disastrous deeds…but tell me, would Carter or Mondale’s policies have been better for the country in the long run?
The stock market, currently, doesn’t matter…the numbers don’t matter right now because that was borrowed money put into the stocks…and not every stock is up anyway. If you’re so happy that the stocks are rising, you must be glad that everything else is to…it’s called inflation. Businesses back in the 80’s and 90’s…(cont…)
Do you recall Bush announcing that he had to ditch the free market and Capitalism in order to save it?….do you think many Republicans (the Free Republic Reps…not RINO’s) had faith in him then…do you think there are only 22% (Bush’s final approval ratings) of non-RINO’s in the country. This country was built on that very system.
Hey, how about you give me an example of how Obama and Bush differentiate.
“Meet the new boss…same as the old boss”…
YES REAGAN WAS THE PROBLEM,he was part of the government and was the problem, right.I agree with you reagan was the problem.
Well look at the stock market.

You’re right, GOVERNMENT IS THE PROBLEM. Yes, you agree yet you still want to put Reagan down for this or that (which is fine…your opinion, there were mistakes made like with the steel industry). Obama has spent us into oblivion as well…Gawd he’s and idiot…not saying McCain or Romney…or Palin was any better. You name me one thing Obama has done that will effects our economy in the long run…not just for his term…because then mortgaging our future would be just fine right?
Dont complain about obamas spending, where were you on iraq, not afghanistan, iraq.
You can blame nixon for opening china up and reagan with the ability to BS everybody with his government is the problem, when he was in government, duh.Under reagan we lost almost our whole steel industry, almost all of it and they set up camp in china, japan and asia.
Yes government was the problem, and reagan was one part of the problem.
Tell Bush that tax cuts for the wealthy in the time of war,Duh.
It’s incredible to think that there are still people out there that think it’s a good idea to spend what you don’t have for no other reason other than our economy is not in it’s best of shape. I used to live near the worst of it (Bakersfield, California) so I know what it’s like. Government intrusion has not and will not ever work. Total government isn’t the answer, for the result we are seeing (the economy) is just the beginning if we are to increase government’s power even further.
Because of this ridiculous spending of money we do not have. Are you forgetting who gives people these jobs? What about the people who have the jobs? Don’t you think it may have been a better idea to do something worth a little more than a cashier or something equivalent to that?
That’s very unfair, because Obama has had like 10 months….but this year overall has had more lives taken then any other year under Bush. And nothing has been done really to…you know….stop that.
You know thats untrue,Bush 8 years compared to not even one year for obama.
Maybe certain months have more soldier deaths since bush, but not overall deaths.
And the poor middle class/will suffer the most because they have fixed incomes. On the other side the middle class/poor will stop spending and we WILL be in a depression(worst than today). The middle class(shrinking)/poor do the majority of spending because there are so many of them.
