confuscious asked:

Recently my girlfriend had been given Citalopram (SRRI) rather than her usual Benzodiazopenes for her anxiety and depression. It is supposed to start working for the better after approximately 3 weeks. 3 weeks came and past and things got much worse. It started with Bruxism (teeth grinding) and a severe temperment change. From there came the loss of sexual interest and some other side effects. My question is this, is this common or does it sound like her brain chemistry is different than most? And should she stick with benzos like Lorazapam that work for her with little to no side effects?

My friends and people dont seem to care, but only preoccupied about their own lives. My boyfriend tries to help me, but I dont feel any better. Music or exercise doesnt help me anymore and everything that I used to love to do, just doesnt interest me anymore. It feels like I’m falling away from myself. Are there any good ways of just feeling better? And please dont tell me to go to a psychiatrist or therapist. I’ve already been there. Thanks everyone.
