bidibaum asked:
Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth rehearsing “For Good” from the musical “Wicked”. This was a DVD extra segment from the PBS documentary “Broadway: The American Musical” and is an amazing, emotional rendition of the song.

that’s good. i’d like to see the movie made from the book, not the play. although both are great.
agreed!
ahahahaha!!! pause this video at random times while they’re singing…Idina looks like a horse hahaha…don’t get me wrong, love her to death but this is hilarious.
I can’t imagine anyone other than these two playing Elphaba and Glinda in the movie version. They’re just that good!
Didn’t the director say that he doesn’t want to make it into a movie because it already changed alot from the book? If I’m not mistaking, the director doesn’t want to make a movie and change it more.
die beiden sind einfach die besten!!!!!!
in english:they are the best!!!
idina never said that you fool.
i heard kristin saying that in like every interview ever, too. hehe.
I LOVE YOU IDINAAAAA
The best. Always. The originals. Period. They kept it simple, honest, and true to Joe’s vision. It started to slip with many of the Elphaba’s starting loving the sound of their own voices.
Really? Where did you hear that? All I’ve heard her say (in many interviews, during chatting times onstage) is that she’d love to be in the move but that she’ll probably be too old by the time they get it ready…
thats really awesome..
they r soo cute together!
Yeah both have there up and downs!
I would love to see the original cast in the movie, but i do agree, Stephanie J. Block would be amazing as the film elphie. she is my second choice for elphie.
So she won’t be in the film version? Oh please, Idina, change your mind! Please please please, Wicked is not the same without you!
pookey
the only problem: she won’t. idina already stated that SHOULD there be a movie (which is highly probable) she will not play the elphaba. the reason: she doesn’t want to be seen only as elphaba, she wants to be herself not forevermore the green misunderstood witch.
at least one little quantum of solace
(although of course i’d wish she would… cause no one could do a better job then she would.) from all i heard at least kristin stated she would love to play glinda in a movie version….
If they are really making a film, Idina’s pregnancy isn’t a problem cause she is supposed to have her baby in September this year and she needs three months after that for recovery. She would be free to start shooting next year and the pre production lasts as much or more than the shooting itself so if it’s not for sure that there’s gonna be a movie I guess the pre production didn’t start yet. So Idina’s got a lot of chances to play Elphie in the film version.
Who the heck is Kirsten Van Wagner? And Idina can’t do it, she’s pregnant. I would like to see Idina and Kristin in the movie but I would LOVE to see Stephanie J Block as Ephaba but she’s got her hands full in 9 to 5! I say Stephanie because
1. She has an amazing presence as Elphaba!
2.You see her in like every Wicked Promotional and Commercial AD (Altough really that has nothing to do with it!)
3. Her vioce is just as strong or better than Idina’s
ANY STPEHANIE J BLOCK FANS, ARE YOU WITH ME?!?
AHHHH OMG REALLY!?! I’m sooo excited!!!!!!
bidibaum!!! sounds like what moureen says in rent! lol
and to add, the page is titled Wicked 2010 but under release date is 2016. So I’d forget about a movie anytime soon. Idina Menzel is prego right now and if there really was a movie coming you would see things about it everywhere. They wouldn’t make a movie of a play that is still doing AMAZING on stage. Full house every night.
from IMBD: Wicked 2010… Elphaba (rumored) Idina Menzel & Kirsten Van Wagner. Glinda (rumored) Kristin Chenoweth. The Wizard (rumored) Joel Grey. Fiyero (rumored) Oliver Tompsett. I don’t know where this information comes from but i often check up on it. If this is actually going to happen for 2010, I think they would already know the cast.
the cast is still a rumor.
They’re making wicked into a movie, and they are using the original
best of luck!
