This video is to make familiar to you, sleep apnea oral devices so you the public can decide what might be available for you as an alternative to the CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure). I have put 32 years of knowledge, 9 years of chair side time and around 4000 happy people with the movement in the mouth piece. The new way has an adjustment screw and bite technique. Always the complaint is; the patient is so quiet when they sleep you wonder if their still breathing. You will agree when you try this device that it is the most comfortable oral device on the market. This the only device that moves back but pulls you forward when you reach REM sleep. Also this device has a polished surface to bite & slide on to comfort your TMJ.

Termite asked:

Hi. You see…..a few days ago I woke up and I had 2 VERY nasty bites on my tongue, very deep and they seem to have developed into cankersores. I have some teeth marks on the other side of my tongue too but they are not deep at all and dont hurt. My mother mentioned that I sometimes clench my teeth and grind them in my sleep (A symptom of bruxism). Why did my tongue get injured? And do I have bruxism? Im only 13 years old, and bruxism in children usually dissapears after they lose their baby teeth.

WhiterSmile asked:

Currently there is no pharmacological cure or treatment for Bruxism, except the prevention of excess damage by using a Bite Tray made to measure by a dentist. The Bite Tray is a protective shield that is worn overnight on the top row of teeth. This will create a protective barrier between the dental arches. Dr. Brux® has measured occlusal thicknesses which help bring the jaw into a resting position. The thickness of the Bite Tray reduces muscle stress and tension during sleep. Comfortable and Stable Dr. Brux® Bite Tray is made of a biocompatible thermoplastic material, with two assigned degrees of hardness: * The first degree of hardness is the softer of the two. It is used for the portion of the Bite Tray that comes into contact with the outer surface of the teeth and gums. This will give the feeling of stability and comfort. * The second degree is the harder one. It is used for support, allowing ease in the movement of teeth during grinding for greater resistance in the deterioration process. Available at: www.whitersmile.com.au

Muscles Swollen Under My Chin, With Dry Mouth?

DebNHouston asked:

I’ve been clenching my teeth in my sleep, and because I am a 30-yr old smoker, I’m a little worried that it could be oral cancer… It’s not the glands that are swollen. It’s the muscles, and it feels like my tongue and base of my mouth are swollen, too. I’ve looked around, and done a self-exam at home, but I can’t find anything that would indicate oral cancer.

Does anyone have this or know what it is? I know that I have TMJ, and that I’ve been suffering from nocturnal bruxism. It’s a little disturbing when your mouth feels so dry and swollen (not visibly swollen, by the way) that you feel tongue-tied.

Can wearing a night guard pull off cemented crowns when it is removed each morning?

I have a bad night time teeth grinding problem when I sleep (bruxism). I really need to wear a night guard to protect further damage to my teeth. I currently have crowns on some of my teeth. Night guards fit the teeth very tightly. I am concerned when I pull off the night guard from my teeth in the morning my cemented crowns may be pulled off with it. Are there different types of night guards that don’t fit so tightly? I haven’t been wearing a night guard because I am concerned about this happening. It would be a hassle to have to go to the dentist all the time to have my crowns recemented if the night guard pulls them off. How strong is that cement?

Lutineya asked:

Sometimes when i bend my left knee it hurts on the bottom. About once a week, it jams and I fall on the floor, unable to move because it hurts so badly. When this happens, it takes like 4 minutes to unjam and hurts all the way. I dont know what happened, as I am only 13. I have only hurt my leg once, when I was 8, because I fell out of my window. My mom (who used to be a nurse) said that I would have started expieriencing pain earlier then 13 if it had to do with falling out of my window. I dont know what to do, do you have any ideas of what is up with my knee? I have stress related problems, like bruxism (i grind my teeth in my sleep) but I dont know if that is related. Thank you.

CarnivalOfPeace asked:

I have TMJD, and I wear a mouth splint every night to combat the bruxism. But lately, my jaw has been excruciatingly painful. I don’t want to be continuously taking painkillers because I’m only 15 and I don’t want to damage my liver, are there any other ways of dealing with the pain? It’s getting to the point where it interferes with day-to-day activities and I just want to lie down and sleep it off.
Ah yes, but codeine is highly addictive!
